From Earth to Table: How SAP Business One Became the Center of Our Universe

The Connexion Group is comprised of several companies working from agricultural operations to refrigerated transport, bringing quality and fresh foods to local groceries. As a growing company, our management team wants to promptly act to maintain its industry leadership. Unfortunately, our lead time to get results was way too long. More, information accessibility and visibility were not there.

Weaving business and IT strategies together leads us to focus on one of our best system assets, SAP Business One. Combined with a best-of-breed approach, Connexion Group broke silos and is now able to reap the fruit of its labor harvesting businesses integration, process democratization, and an improved decision-making.

Key Takeaways:

  • SQL to SAP HANA migration

  • Use of SAP Fiori cockpit to improve daily operations

  • Agricultural operations integration to SAP Business One

SAP 101: An Introduction to SAP Business One

There is a lot of power in the SAP system. Finding how to navigate your way through it all can be a daunting experience.

Knowing the basics of use and documents used on a regular basis can help when trying to find your way. In addition, seeing how all the different parts of SAP connect can provide insight into how other departments within an organization work with SAP.

See in real time how to navigate to some of the more typical forms (sales order, business partner, invoice, production work order, purchase order, etc.), including where fields are and some shortcuts to navigation, and we will show SAP in action.

Key Takeaways:

  • An introduction to SAP and SAP Business One

  • Some tips and tricks to use in SAP Business One

  • Cross-functionality demonstration

Keeping Your Promises with Available-To-Promise

Do you find shortcomings in the stock SAP Business One available-to-promise (ATP) functionality? Are you shipping containers to one customer, and then a single item to others? Learn how DRI DUCK Traders, driduck.com, has enhanced its ATP algorithm. As a wholesale apparel company, it is balancing the complexities of a vibrant distributor network. Plus, the company has grown into the direct-to-consumer (D2C) model. This tension of serving B2B and D2C customers has challenged the company to adjust ATP and then utilize this algorithm across multiple digital platforms.

Key Outcomes:

  • Making the ATP algorithm work for you

  • Showing customized inventory views for key partners and customers

  • Highlighting lessons learned in adjusting the ATP algorithm

Creativity Is a Learned Skill, not an Inherent Gift

The “gift of creativity” is a myth! In this session, we’ll discover our own creativity and explore some cases where creativity isn’t where you’d expect it to be. Through exercises and stories, we’ll explore how you can be creative in your work and in your life. Along the way, learn how a strange video game became famous and why you probably can't draw (but can learn). By the end, you'll know that SQL reports are just as creative as the great American novel or a masterpiece of painting.

Key Takeaways:

  • Creativity is for everyone.

  • Creativity is found everywhere.

  • Learn about opportunities for creativity with SAP Business One data.
